法國的電影的年度製片量是世界第三大僅次於印度和美國，法國電影也是走國際化市場，但相對於好萊塢電影法國電影則沒那麼普及與流行，本排行是截至2012年一月的法國電影歷史賣座排行榜，世界文學名著改編的悲慘世界以及較為國人熟悉的終極殺陣(Taxi)系列有一部進榜，另一個來自改編於法國漫畫Asterix and Cleopatra是關於埃及豔后與凱薩的系列電影則有兩部進榜。
