本表為2012年世界載客量前50大的航空公司,前十大航空公司中,美國有4家且都為於前5名內(聯合航空在併入大陸航空後已經成為全球載客量第一的航空公司,不過未來可能被併入全美航空的美國航空超越),歐洲有3家(歐洲的航空公司也吹起跨國合併,不過歐洲採的是雙品牌或多品牌因此客運量沒有美國多),亞洲公司有3家且阿酋航空表現亮眼位於世界第3名。台灣的華航位於38名,而長榮航空則位於50名。
