世界前三十大貨櫃船運公司 (World Top 30 Container Shipping Companies)-2021

隨著美中貿易戰開打，世界主要製造商紛紛撤出中國，中國的海運業需求開始衰退，最大的中國海航甚至面臨倒閉的問題，也隨著世界製造業版圖的改寫，世界船運也起了不少變化。歐洲雖然早就沒有甚麼主要製造業，歐洲最主要的製造業剩汽車、造船、航太、生技與時尚工業等，其他主要產業是在金融、商業與服務業等三級以上產業發展，不過在世界海運業前五名卻包辦了四名，可謂勢力龐大。美國雖然穩居世界第一大市場，不過除了軍事、航太、汽車、電子與半導體、造船、鋼鐵、化工、能源以及生技等少數關鍵重要產業外，多數生產製造的二級產業重心多在海外，美國本土已經往三級或以上的產業發展，因此美國海運業並沒有像空運業那麼發達，最大的船運公司甚至還擠不進世界前二十名，川普才會喊出讓美國製造業回流的政策，希望Make America Great Again。

而台灣的製造業在主力撤出中國後，轉變成全球化布局，航運業也跟著全球化發展，雖然台灣船隊上很多貨輪掛的根本不是台灣國旗，但不影響台灣貨櫃船運在世界海運業的競爭力。
