Google Earth之世界軍港巡禮-土耳其海軍(World Naval Base Tour of Google Earth- Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri／Turkish Navy)-2013

土耳其海軍現役約48,600人，111艘大小作戰艦艇以及其他的各種輔助艦艇，包含16艘巡防艦與14艘潛艇(未來打算建造1艘兩棲突擊艦以及4艘通用巡防艦以及8艘護衛艦再加4艘防空巡防艦並且增加6艘214型潛艇也被批准了)再加上48架作戰飛機與直昇機。土耳其海軍可說目前中東海軍武力最強的國家。

土耳其海軍司令部分為四個主要附屬司令部︰艦隊司令部(Fleet Command)、北方海域司令部(Northern Sea Area Command)、南方海域司令部(Southern Sea Area Command)以及海軍訓練與教育司令部(Naval Training and Education Command)。

陸戰隊與特種部隊(Marines and Special Forces)

土耳其海軍還包括陸戰隊與特種部隊︰包含兩棲陸戰旅(Amfibi Deniz Piyade Tugay)，數個突擊隊(Commando)與兩個特種部隊。

• Amphibious Marines Brigade - (Amfibi Deniz Piyade Tugayı) consisting of 4,500 men based in Foça, three amphibious battalions, an MBT battalion, an artillery battalion, a support battalion and other company-sized units.
• Su Altı Taarruz - (S.A.T.) (Underwater Attack). The missions of the Su Altı Taarruz (SAT) include the acquisition of military intelligence, amphibious assault, counter-terrorism and VIP protection.
• Su Altı Savunma - (S.A.S.) (Underwater Defense).
